Menhir, Spring, 4"

The ranger is familiar with this menhir, a standing stone, created by people long lost to time.  It's a noted landmark in the area.  Nobody knows what the carvings on it mean, but in the depths of winter, locals won't go near it, for the feelings of unease it gives off.  During this spring day, however, it's just a large graven stone.  Harmless.  And as good a place for a rest as any.
