Portal, Pastoral Plain

Atop the rocky outcropping stands a trilithon, weathered and mossy.  Deep carved runes adorn the lintel, though they are hard to read in the gloaming light.  Until they start to glow from within, growing brighter the closer you approach.  Just as you think you can start to make them out, your eyes are drawn to the shimmering curtain of dappling green between the stone posts.  A waving promise of spring leaves and fresh grass.  You can almost smell the inviting air beyond.

Klaarg the Unwieldy really kicked the hornets nest this time - literally.  Giant hornets, the size of dogs, with dripping stingers as long and deadly as scimitars.  Once clear of the woods, the cleric quickly casts a teleportation spell.  It manifests itself as a mighty stone structure, with the shining portal between the stones.  The party dives through the surface just as the buzzing of furious wings grows too loud and too close for comfort.
