The beach is littered with shells. Klaarg the Unwieldy remembers being told as a child that if you hold a shell to your ear, you can hear the ocean susserating within.
"Ow! OW! OWWW! Yargh!"
Klaarg was never specifically told to check that the shell was no longer occupied.
Shells come on the sprue for easier painting. Paint them up, then snip them off.
